My work begins with observation—of nature, of pattern, of chaos. I am drawn to the intricate ways in which the natural world organizes itself: branches weaving through space, leaves stacking over one another, wildflowers spiraling outward in unconscious order. These patterns are both familiar and unknowable, offering a visual language that I reinterpret on the canvas.
I work in layers. Each shape emerges, collides, dissolves. Through repetition and overlay, I seek to transform recognizable natural elements into something more abstract—something that feels at once alive and imagined. The process is intuitive but meticulous. It involves erasure and rebuilding, a kind of erosion where form gives way to form, and color finds its own logic.
My paintings are not direct representations of the world. They are spaces of transformation—where nature becomes geometry, and geometry becomes emotion. There is often a psychedelic quality to the compositions, not in the sense of visual excess, but in their potential to alter the viewer’s perception. I want the viewer to wander, to get lost, to feel as if they’ve entered a terrain that is growing and shifting beneath their gaze.
Ultimately, my work is about creating alternate ecosystems—worlds within worlds—that reflect both external landscapes and inner states of being.
